A little over a week ago we had a house guest show up. We're not sure how long she'll be here, or when her kids will get here, but she hasn't worn out her welcome yet. Her nest is on a portion of gutter that runs down beside the chimney by our back door. For the first couple of days she kept flying off every time we came in and out of the back door. Then she got so she would only fly away if we looked at her while coming in or out the door. Now, as you can see, she doesn't even seem to mind if I stand there and stare at her (though that might be a different story once her eggs hatch). If you look closely at her nest you'll notice some blue strands. Those came from a tarp covering firewood on our patio. I guess that just goes to show that robin's like a splash of color in their decorating schemes the same as the rest of us!
