Threshing Bee

On Monday we went over to Colfax where they were having an old-fashioned threshing bee. Iain loved seeing all the horses and tractors.

We even got to take a hay ride on a wagon pulled by four Percheron horses so we could get a closer look at the harvesting. Iain got to hold the reins while we were stopped.

Geoff was holding Iain up so he could see how much wheat had been harvested.

Iain was all ready to go take his turn out in the field on an Allis-Chalmers Gleaner. Watch out Grandpa Marvin, he's going to be wanting to drive your combine next!

At last, he found one that was just his size.

That is SO cool!! And awesome pictures! Some of these would be great to frame up for Iain's room to help him remember the event!
